A Builder by Nature,
An Investor by Design
James A. Perdomo didn’t come from a family of investors. Growing up in the Bronx, he learned early that financial security doesn’t come from waiting — it comes from taking deliberate, informed action. That mindset shaped everything that followed.
After earning his Associate’s degree in Accounting from SUNY Delhi, James transferred to Baruch College’s prestigious Zicklin School of Business, where he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Real Estate Investment. It was there that the blueprint for Perdomo Equity Corp began to take shape.
In 2018, James founded Perdomo Equity Corp with a clear mission: to create long-term partnerships that enable everyday investors to build sustainable wealth through commercial real estate. What started as a small operation has grown into a firm managing a mixed portfolio of residential units, commercial properties, and two 42-unit assisted living facilities across multiple U.S. markets.
Beyond PEC, James serves as the Chief Operating Officer of UniversaCare, where he drives operational excellence across the organization — leading cross-functional teams, implementing AI-driven process automation, spearheading mergers and acquisitions, and building scalable systems that support multi-location expansion. His ability to operate at the intersection of real estate, healthcare, and business strategy gives him a rare perspective that benefits every investor who partners with PEC.
James’s career also includes managing over 700 units across Manhattan and Brooklyn as a property and asset manager, performing institutional-level underwriting as a commercial real estate analyst, and providing consultancy to professional organizations on complex projects. Every role has reinforced the same lesson: success in real estate comes from discipline, data, and doing right by the people who trust you with their capital.
